Cantinho dos Sabores opened this Monday, August 24, in Bairro Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro, in Sousel. It is a new space dedicated to gastronomy that reinforces the restaurant offerings and local commerce in the municipality.
Managed by sisters Dulce and Graça Lavado, the establishment focuses on traditional-inspired cuisine, offering a take-away service as well as a space where customers can enjoy their meals on-site.
With a diverse menu, Cantinho dos Sabores presents daily home-inspired suggestions, including lamb stew (ensopado de borrego), farinheira migas with pork from the earthenware tub (carne de alguidar), squid stew (caldeirada de lulas), potato migas with spare ribs, chicken in tomato sauce (galinha de tomatada), veal stew (jardineira de vitela), salt cod à Brás, and octopus à lagareiro, among other options.
The inauguration was attended by the Mayor of Sousel, at the invitation of those responsible for the new establishment. Also present were Father Joaquim Pinheiro and, representing the Sousel Parish Council, Francisco Dordio, who wished the owners every success.
The opening of Cantinho dos Sabores fulfills a long-held dream of Dulce and Graça Lavado and represents another contribution to the revitalization of economic activity and local commerce, reinforcing the range of services available to the population.
